Happy November! It is officially appropriate to start getting Christmas obsessed, and cold enough that I need to get my winter wardrobe actually sorted.
Every year I do the usual swap over where I pack away my light and flimsy tops for chunkier knits and I usually focus in on a handful of items that will take my classic winter wardrobe and give it a chic update. So of course I have a tonne of jeans, classic knits and items like jumper dresses, but today I want to focus on the more statement pieces that you can enjoy for the next season (or two if you live in Ireland and spring is always just as cold!).
Vinyl
I had to get a pair of super shiny patent pants this season and I found my perfect pair in H&M. I usually live in my faux leather trousers so this style is just stepping up that vibe another notch. It my not be for everyone, but vinyl trousers, skirt, jackets, dresses and more will be all over the shops this season and I advise incorporating it in a way that suits your personal style. My personal style is super skinny trousers and bulkier tops so that is how I am wearing vinyl this season.

Over the knee boots (OTK)
I already have a pair of OTK boots but they are only suitable for nights out as the heel is slim and really high. This season I want to take my boots to-day time looks but the only way I think I can do that is with a smaller block heel or even a flat pair. I love OTK boots with day dresses and leather jackets and think they even dress up a classic pair of skinny jeans.

Fabulous faux fur
In my closet I have 3 faux fur jackets and a gilet but I actually want to get another one for the new season. I have been looking and some brighter colours as I have a natural beige colour, black and a leopard print so I think a blush pink could be pretty fabulous.

Dreamy Dresses
Of course the shopping doesn’t end there, especially when it comes to Penneys/ Primark as their knit-wear game is on point this season, but these are some pieces that I have either picked up or are on my list for the new season.
Let me know in the comments if you want me to do anymore edits for ankle boots, evening tops, knit-wear etc.
Stay stylish,
