Instagood November 16 | A look back on a festive month

It is time for my favourite post of the month, my Instagram roundup! I wish I could post about a lot more products and outings, but this one post allows me to fill you in on what I get up to and what products I am loving at the moment.

Once Halloween is over I get totally into Christmas! And lucky for me I got to attend some fabulous Christmas events throughout the month which really helped keep my festive cheer alive so early on. Enjoying Christmas this much is quite new for me as I used to work in retail, and most people who have worked Christmas in retail will tell you it has a way of turning you into a Scrooge. Working late Christmas eve, being in work 8am on the 26th and spending my days listening to the same Christmas songs over and over made the whole season a pain more than anything, BUT NOW I can really let myself enjoy it.

The first event of the month was a Christmas party in Designist, a cool independent shop on Georges Street. This is the perfect shop if you have to buy gifts for people who are hard to buy for. I posted about this store last week in my Irish shopping list which you can check out here.

I recently posted my November outfits and every single one of them had me in black jeans BUT here is proof that I own blue jeans! This pair is from Zara and my boots are a year old from ASOS. My little backpack was purchased in Penneys (Primark) and I thought it would be handy for when I run to tesco to pick up some food and bits but I actually love it and bring it everywhere now!

I was beyond THRILLED to get an invitation to shop the Kenzo x H&M collaboration a day before it was available and I couldn’t resist picking up one of the ruffle neck jumpers. I have always wanted a Kenzo sweatshirt but have never been able to justify the €200+ price tag, so I was delighted to pick this one up for €50.

Dreaming of Diamonds. I work with an amazing jewellers in Dublin and every so often take pictures for social media etc. I cannot resist trying on a few pieces when I am taking pictures and I fell in love with this rose gold diamond bracelet when in store last month. I believe this piece is around €300 but it’s it just divine!

Early morning coffee runs! I thought living really close to a costa coffee would ruin me but so far I have been able to keep it as a weekend treat.

I waited until the weekend to wear my Kenzo jumper and I was heading to a kids party so I wore it with jeans and runners because I knew there would be some running around with my cousin’s kids.

My god-daughter Mia turned 2. She had actually been wearing the cutest prom dress all day but I could only grab her for a photo after she had put on her cute little PJs. She is really the sweetest little girl and I loved spending the day with her, her twin brother for their birthday and their older brother and sister.

My REPEAL jumper was purchased to support a good cause, but is worn because it is actually a really cosy and comfy sweatshirt. Shop here.

Oh how I love camel coat weather! This is an old one from Missguided, but it is still in perfect condition. Shop similar here.

While in Designist at the start of the month I loved some of their prints. Later I went online and ordered this one here. Unfortunately I don’t have a frame for it right now, and Conor and I have yet to hang a single thing in the new house, but we will get around to it sooner or later.

I love me a little leopard! This jumper is from the ASOS sale from years ago and it always cheers me up on winter days.

I love me a coffee break, and it is always so much nicer when it comes in a festive cup. I love sitting outside with my coffee and people watching in town.

With the colder winter weather I decided to give my skin care routine a reboot and started using the Oils of Life collection from The Body Shop. I actually won this set a back in October at their Christmas party but it was misplaced while we moved house so I have only been using it for a few weeks now but I think my skin is really enjoying it. My skin feels super soft and hydrated and the face massager is amazing! Shop here.

It is not everyday that you get to join Myleene Klass for a fashionable lunch. I shared my highlights from this event and my top pieces from her collection right here.

And that is a sweet lunch. Littlewoods hosted the event in The Westbury in Dublin, which is known for amazing food.

Another highlight from this fashionable lunch was spending it was Kellie from Let Them Have Fashion and Amanda from Blog Beauties. If you don’t follow these gals already then you need to get on it!

Super Snug! I shared all of my favourite looks from November here. This jacket is one of my all time best Winter pieces.

Sunday is my favourite night as we always change our sheets that day. There is nothing more luxurious than getting into a brand new bed after a shower, especially when you have new PJs!

You know I’m having a bad hair day when my hair is up and away from my face. While organising my new closet I came across this snug jumper from Dunnes that I bought last year. It is still so cosy and warm, perfect for the crisp winter days.

Still having a bad hair day, but a better outfit day. I love this giant cricket jumper! See more outfits from November here.

Tea for one! Most days when I want a tea of a coffee I go to a Insomnia but when I want to spoil myself I head to Balfes in the Westbury and enjoy a €5 pot of tea. To be honest the tea tastes like any other tea but I justify the price by the peace and quiet and how cosy this spot is. It is not an everyday treat, but once or twice a month I do like to pop in.

This was when I started to feel really Christmassy. I spent an evening with Birchbox in residence and the set up was incredible. I love all the twinkly lights and the Christmassy flowers and wreaths. The event itself was fantastic and I was introduced to a couple of new beauty brands that I am excited to try out over Christmas.

GOLD AVIATOR!! Not mine unfortunately but I couldn’t resist trying it on at a recent press evening. This coat is from Bimba y Lola– JACKET MY DREAMS!

Christmas in Dublin! I love when the lights go up, everything looks so much prettier and feels a little more magical.

Is there anything better than a personalised gift? I don’t think so, and in my world there is nothing better than a good velvet false tan glove. I wear tan just as much in the winter (if not more) than the rest of the year, so I go through a lot of gloves. Over the past two years I only use velvet gloves because they’re the best for an even application. This one is from Tan Organic and it is to celebrate the world’s first organic tanning mouse.

KNITTING IS COOL OK?! I actually enjoy knitting with regular wool but recently I decided to arm knit a blanket with oversize yarn. You can see how I did so right here.

I was totally spoiled by St Moriz with a dreamy afternoon tea in Laduree. I was spoiled once more when I got to take home their exfoliating primer and tan to test out. I LOVE the primer, amazing at scrubbing off stubborn tan. I have yet to try out this tan myself so I will post about it once I have pictures to share.

The little munchkin in the middle turned 21 and I cannot deal! She is still 11 in my mind, and I am still 19! My sisters and I celebrated with all of her friends in Xico for food & drinks.

One of my favourite spots in Dublin gets even better at Christmas: House on Leeson Street. If you have not been here before than I encourage you to try to visit this month. It is just so cosy and cute, and the service has always been excellent whenever I have visited and they do Christmas so well.

Just popping in Chanel for some Christmas shopping… JK. In reality I am window shopping and falling in love with just about everything in their Brown Thomas boutique.

More people watching with another festive coffee cup.

Mini desk beauty situation. I really like the YSL cushion foundation anyway, but it is ideal for your handbag. It comes with a little applicator sponge, a nice mirror and tucks away neatly for the makeup on the go. I love NYX Cannes for my winter lip and the Crimson Cloud roller perfume from Bronnley is my scent when I am on the go.

My November was pretty jam-packed but I am keeping things a little quieter throughout December. I love staying in and watching Christmas movies with Conor. We have the fire lit most nights and it is so cosy. While so many of you guys are probably partying this December I am delighted to be staying in.

I hope you have having a great December!

Until next time,

Signature 1
