Pink Ladies Costume | DIY Halloween

If you are new to my blog than you may not already know, Halloween is my favourite time of the year!

I have decided to kick off this years DIY costume ideas with a classic. The reason why I was so inspired to do The Pink Ladies from Grease is thanks to the trend of personalised and slogan bombers becoming one of the biggest trends in 2016. You may not want to buy a ‘Pink Ladies” embroidered bomber jacket, but who doesn’t want a decent excuse to purchase another jacket?

This costume can work really well if you have a group together. You don’t necessarily need to assign each person a character, you can just simply be the collective known as ‘The Pink Ladies’, rather than Rizzo, Frenchy, Marty and Jan. We can also include Sandra D, and all you really need is an all black ensemble, but we will get to that later.

The aim for all of my DIY costume posts is to save you from spending money on an actual costume, and if you do need to buy anything, that ideally it is something you can add to your wardrobe for everyday use.

At a glance, each lady has her own unique and individual style, however the most recognisable piece is that pink jacket. If you do not own a pink jacket, I will give you plenty of options below. For the rest of your outfit, have a look around and see if you own a pencil skirt, and neckerchief, a statement belt.. if not, why not opt for the all black option the ladies wear for a night out? Got a gorgeous blond in your entourage? Why not add a Sandy D to your click?

A very similar look, but lets go with the really iconic all black outfit from the movies final scene. I’m sorry but is it not insane how on trend this look is today?!
