The Vitamin E Range | The Body Shop Review

When it comes to beauty I am totally skin care obsessed, and it seems like the more I learn about what my skin wants/ needs, the more I realise is lacking from my skin care routine.

As a 28-year-old (turning 29 this month!) I want to do as much for my skin NOW to prevent pre mature ageing  and hold off on wrinkles for as long as possible. I have been doing so by focusing on moisturising, using products that really hydrate it and keep it healthy. Hyaluronic acid has been a big ingredient in my routine for over a year now, as it has been dubbed the fountain of youth thanks its hydrating properties (it can hold 1000x its own weight in water and will pull moisture from the air and into your skin if necessary).

So now that my skin is hydrated we move onto the next issue, POLLUTION! I live in Dublin, but I think your skin no matter where you live, pollution can have a negative effect on your skin. Luckily The Body Shop have a range that take on hydrating and protecting in one fabulous range. This range deals with UVAs/ UVBs, contains antioxidant properties and comes in pink packaging, pretty but a tough skin protector.

I was generously gifted this range, and I thought I would try it and eventually return to my other skin care routine after a couple of weeks. Well I was a little off there, I still love my other products but this range is now a steady part of my routine. I would also like to note that the scent of this range is delicious! Next time you pass by The Body Shop pop in just for a quick sniff, you will not be disappointed.

Vitamin E Range:

  • Contains Hyaluronic acid for hydration
  • Protects from Pollution/ Environment
  • UVA/ UVB protection
  • Tackles Pre mature ageing

The Vitamin E Essence Lotion:

I just wrote about essence lotions and how they are a new step to my skin care routine. This is a lightweight, gellified lotion that you apply to your skin BEFORE moistening. It is almost like a pre moisturizer, that hydrates your skin and prepares it for the rest of your routine. I only use a tiny bit of this lotion and it is really quickly absorbed, my skin LOVES it! (I cleanse, exfoliate, apply this lotion then apply my serum and follow with moisturizer).

Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet (STAR PRODUCT FOR ME)

This is a gel like moisturiser that has a really funny texture. Although at first it seems a little thick, it absorbs so fast into my skin! It is cooling, soothing and refreshing on your skin, which is obviously ideal for Summer, especially if you are travelling somewhere sunny! What really makes this product stand out for me is that it is mattifying! As someone with an oily t-zone and who is prone to a shiny face, this is the dream!

Vitamin E Moisture Cream:

This has been a best seller for The Body Shop for about 30 years, and it is easy to see why. This is a fabulous cream that absorbs quickly and feels amazing on the skin. It is lightweight which I love, and a little goes a long way.

Day Lotion SPF 30 (Another STAR PRODUCT FOR ME):

I WEAR THIS DAILY! I actually layer it over my other moisturizer as I like to wear a minimum of SPF 30 every day. This lightweight, absorbs really quickly and smells just as divine as the rest of the range. Sometimes SPFs can make terrible bases for makeup, and they clog my pores, but this one really suits my needs. As it is both a moisturizer and an SPF I find it really handy for when I am staying overnight somewhere or on a sporadic trip to the gym, as I just need one product to perform two very important functions. You can see by how worn the packaging is that this cream has been well-loved.

This range has been a dream for my skin this Summer, and it is just one more range that The Body Shop has nailed! I am becoming a huge fan of their skin care products as the price and the quality are fantastic. For more information check out their website here.
