I am so happy that it is SUMMER!!! I love Ireland when the sun shines and June has started with some exceptional weather. I am really the rest of the month is bright and sunny and I am actually getting a slight tan (when I say tan, I am so pale that I really just need the harsh white/ blue tone from my skin to be replaced with a warmer flesh colour. Thank goodness for fake tan!)
May was a jam-packed month, and as always I wanted to bring you the highlights which included some gorgeous food, fabulous fashion and a touch of beauty.
I hope you enjoy.
Greta, Naomi and myself try to get together every couple of weeks and have a good old catchup. We particularly like to have these catchup over food and drink. This was my first trip to Cleaver East in Temple Bar and what enticed us there was the promise of bottomless cocktails. We were not disappointed at all! Our glasses of Bellini were never empty and everything we tasted was delicious. A stand out from the mean is pictured above, we shared a donut filled with ice cream and rice krispie cakes- IT WAS INSANE! I totally recommend Cleaver East, especially the bottomless brunch! Find out more here.
The weekend started with a long weekend, which meant I had an extra morning to cuddle my little smokey bear in bed. If you don’t know who Smokey is, you must not follow me on Snapchat! My username is GinaKiely, but be warned, I am a CRAZY CAT LADY!
SUMMER KICKS! I was torn between these Nike Cortez and a pair of Adidas classics, and the Nike won, but I still want the Adidas ones now too! I have been LIVING in these shoes so far this Summer, super comfortable and go with so many looks. Shop Nike Cortez here.
SELFIE! I found these ear crawling earrings on eBay and I think I need to order a couple more pairs! I love this ear cuff look, makes me feel a little fancy even when I am just wearing a Breton top and black jeans.
COFFEE BREAKS! My friend Liza and I try to meet up a couple of times a month for lunch or coffee. On this particular day we got to enjoy both at Alchemy Juice Co in BT2 on Grafton Street. If you are looking for a healthy lunch and love people watching, then you need to check this place out!
DESK SITUATION! My battered and bruised Macbook is actually on his last leg and I am hoping to pick up a new laptop over the Summer. In the mean time I have pretty office supplies from Penneys/ Primark to cheer me up when that annoying rainbow wheel appears on-screen.
Nothing like fresh flowers to brighten up your day!
PEACE GREEN! I rarely stray from my usual nude nail polishes, but I will for a pastel green from YSL. I love this shade for Summer.
SUMMER IS HERE! I threw on a pair of dungarees when the sun made an appearance, as you never know how long the good weather will last in Dublin. You can get all my outfit details here.
ALL SMILES! At the Oscar’s Bar & Kitchen relaunch last month. If you are hungry then I advise you do not look at THIS BLOG POST as the food was incredible! Cannot wait to go back for those ribs!
NEW HAIR! For the first time in ages I went for a proper chop at the hairdressers. I love how fresh my hair is for Summer now. You can read all about my experience at Alan Keville here.
MIRROR MOMENT! I was in Sligo for the weekend and stayed in a gorgeous suite at the Great Southern hotel. You can read about my mini trip here.
BARGAIN ALERT! I wandered into Abercrombie & Fitch on College Green and found these two sale items that I just needed for Summer. The top had been about €50 and was reduced to €25 and the skirt had been about €60 and was reduced to €17!!! I have already worn this skirt a dozen times, so handy for Summer. Whenever I think of Abercrombie I usually think of branded hoodies but they have totally changed their style now. Shop online here.
DESK LIFE! I am so in love with my little card holder from DVF. I barely ever carry my wallet these days as I can keep my visa card, ID and Leap (travel) card in my pocket. Shop here.
I JUST HAD TO! I could not resist treating myself to the ‘I AM VERY BUSY’ diary from My Shining Armour. I can’t actually use it until August but I couldn’t risk it selling out again like last year. Shop here.
IRISH BEAUTY BLOG AWARD with these babes. I had the best time with these two girls and you read all about our night here.
CHEERS TO THE WEEKEND! Naomi and I headed to the pop up rooftop bar by Peroni in town. This was only temporary and open for 2 weeks, and Dublin NEEDS more cute rooftop bars.
JUST ONE MORE! We ended up in Farrier and Draper later that night, which is a gorgeous new bar where Lost Society used to be.
PIZZA PARTY! Conor and I always argue over what to eat when we’re in Dundrum, but we always agree on Milanos.
Wearing my new Abercrombie pencil skirt for a little shopping with Conor. I feel like I have already gotten my monies worth with bargain find already.
SUNNY SELFIE! I had to make a quick trip to Zara to pick up some more white tees for Summer. I literally want to wear these tees every sunny day, so light and comfortable.
And that is that! Not everything that happened throughout May, but a couple of my highlights. If you want to keep up to date with all of my goings on you can follow me on Instagram (@ginakiely_) or add me on Snapchat UN: GinaKiely.
I hope you are having a fabulous June, and I will have a new post up for you in a couple of days.
Until next time,
