I love a road trip! Last month I had the chance to visit Sligo for the second time in my life (I am so bad at travelling around Ireland!) and I was so excited just to get out of Dublin for the weekend and get some new scenery.
The reason behind the road-trip was work related, but the free time we would have totally outweighed the work.
Travelling to Sligo in the car meant I dressed like a bit of a bum, as I wanted to be really comfortable. See my outfit details below.
We checked in at the Great Southern Hotel Sligo, which was lovely. Conor and I were staying in a suite, which was not very modern but really luxurious. Although we were only staying for one night, it is really nice to have a seating area and a massive bed- any excuse to spoil ourselves!

After all the work was done for the day we headed back to our room and got dolled up for a night out on Sligo town. I didn’t know what to expect as the last time I had visited Sligo I had barely left the hotel and hadn’t heard too much about the nightlife. Well… Sligo is only WILD! We visited 3 bars/ clubs in total, each one more fun than the last. Our final location was Lola Montez which was a really fabulous club, great music, fun atmosphere and really gorgeous set up.

Of course I wore my Zara embroidered bomber over this look, sure what else would I be wearing? I hate how Zara orientated my wardrobe is and I always say that I’ll shop less there, and then I walk by a window and see something I need!
You may also notice that I always have my LuMee case- read about that here.
Needless to say the drive home from Sligo was a little harder than the drive there, but totally worth it! I want to go back to Sligo ASAP- it was such a fun night and I loved the atmosphere of the whole place.
