Over the past couple of years my love of cross body bags has grown. At first I thought they were great for festivals and casual night outs, and now I want to wear them daily. Living life with my hands free is just so much handier compared to having a heavy bag hooked on my arm or up on my shoulder.
I have decided that I want to have three types of cross body bags, a classic and chic black one, a neutral tan/beige for everyday wear and a statement colour for Summer and nights out. I have decided that Red would be one of the better colours for me, as my wardrobe is mainly black, white and grey, a pop of red would go with a lot of looks for me. I also picked up a cheap and cheerful red bag for Electric Picnic last Summer and I loved how it brought a little fun to all my looks.
I have chosen 9 bags below, in three colours and three different price ranges. The first row of bags (from top to bottom) are affordable high street bags all under €50. The middle row is the spendy row, these bags are between €100-€250 each, so a good investment. The final row is the luxury splurge row where the bags range from €850-€1550.
Red row: I have a gorgeous and cheerful bag from Mango, very wallet friendly. Next I have included a Kate Spade bag and even though I do not own any Kate Spade bags they seem to be fantastic quality and always have gorgeous details. Finally I have a fabulous Gucci bag at the end, this lovely cross- body is way out of my price range but it would be a fabulous addition to a glam wardrobe.
Tan: Start things off with a lovely bag from Therapy in House of Fraser, this bag is actually on sale and further reduced from its affordable price tag. Surprisingly I have a second sale bag in the same row, a quilted tan flap bag from DKNY, this label is really reliable quality and their pieces are great value for money. Finally we have the Chloe Drew bag that is just over €1,500! This bag has been every where since it launched a few seasons ago, and it is really beautiful.
Black: A Skinny Dip bag that looks a little reminiscent of the Celine trio, I love the faux snake print that makes it look a little more expensive than it really is. Next we have a classic Michael Kors, it does exactly what I would want it to do, it is small, great leather and black with a touch of gold. Finally a lovely addition from Valentino- the rockstud range is fabulous with stud features throughout the collection and this bag is probably the most simple from this range.
Let me know if your are loving any of these bags?
Until next time,
