Let me start off this post with my standard ‘How is it May already?!’! I know I start each of these posts the same way each month, but this year is really flying in!
April was a really busy month for me, and there seemed to be a beauty event taking place every week. Over all I had a really fabulous month, got to catch up with lots of friends and enjoyed of beverages throughout.
NEW KICKS // I kickstarted the month with new Nikes! I love my new white and black Nike Cortez shoes. Shop here.
LAZY SUNDAY // Black coffee and a croissant is the perfect start to a Sunday in my book.
NEW HAIR, I CARE! // Very subtly I highlighted the ends of my hair at home. You can follow my step by step DIY Balayage guide here.
COFFEE TALK // I adore sitting outside in Sophie’s at the Dean, enjoying a little sunshine and coffee.
BLUE SKIES // Back in The Dean a couple of days later, taking refuge during an insane April hailstone shower. Typical Irish weather means it is severe Winter conditions one minute and gorgeous blue skies the next.
SQUAD // One of the highlights of my month was heading out to GoQuest. This one of the coolest events I have ever attended, with a really fun group of guys and girls. If you have not heard of GoQuest before, think Crystal maze meets a puzzle room. It has almost 30 different rooms which challenges you mentally and physically. Our team ran around like hyper kids, screaming from start to finish. We did come last, but we had the most fun! I HIGHLY recommend heading out here for a really fun day. Check out GoQuest here.
CON.SID.ERED // is one of the cutest cafes, we wandered in here when Kaph next door was too full but I loved the atmosphere. It really feels like you are sitting in someones kitchen enjoying a cuppa.
NAKED TREATS // I was in Debenhams in Blackrock and needed to pick up some makeup. I have been using the Naked skin concealer for about a year now and I really love it. I also wanted to try the loose setting powder as I was running low. I really love the Naked skin range from Urban Decay, and the foundation is perfect for hot Summers. Shop Concealer / Shop Setting Powder
A LITTLE OOTD / I shared the full outfit details from this look here. I am so in love with my embroidered bomber.
HOUSE GOALS// The COS Autumn Winter (yes you read that correctly AW16 in April!) preview took place in the most amazing house on Camden Street. I fell in love with the clothes but I did not want to leave this house. I will have a post up later this year, but seeing as Summer is only kicking in now, I don’t want to post about Autumn fashion just yet.
CHEERS// A night of bubbles and skincare with Declaré. I have been using their powdered cleanser ever since this event and I will do a full post on it soon but *Spoiler alert* it is FAB!
I HAVE THIS THING WITH FLOORS
BLUE SKIES for a gorgeous spring day in Dublin.
COFFEE TALK // I usually avoid Starbucks, I don’t overly like their coffee and I like smaller/ independent coffee shops, but on this particular day convenience won. I have to say their new cup is pretty cute.
BRIGHT EYES // I was invited into the YSL offices to preview the new collection of bright and beautiful mascara range along with some more amazing products launching this Summer. I was lucky enough to receive the bright pink one but have yet to find a way to wear it that really suits me. Shop mascaras here.
CUTE CO-ORDS // I visited the River Island head office for a sneak peek at their Spring/ Summer collection. I posted my favourite looks and piece in this blog post here.
FWIS // Yes I own other pairs of shoes, and no I do not plan on taking my Cortez off anytime soon.
ALL SMILES // I attended the Stila SS16 event and got to catch up with some fabulous ladies. Picture by Doireann from Blog Beauties, in picture Shona from ShoStyle, Rachel from The Insider Daily, Amanda from Blog Beauties.
ENERGIE DE VIE // A little trip to Lancóme HQ to hear all about the new range of skin care, specifically designed for millennials. I have been testing out the essence from the range and I am loving it. The range includes the first ever liquid moisturiser, which is supposed to boots moisture levels by about 50%, which is unheard of! You can actually buy into the full range for less than €100. Shop Essence / Shop sleeping Mask / Shop liquid moisturiser
WINE WEDNESDAYS // Enjoying a little tipple with Kellie from Let Them Have Fashion. We love a good catch up!
COFFEE TALK // Some days coffee is medicinal.
SELFIE // I dared to go bare-legged last month, see my full outfit post here.
SMILES // I ended my month with the best high, my friend Karl was home from Abu Dhabi for a few days. Myself and my besty Deborah enjoyed a lovely lunch and lots of cocktails with this gorgeous boy, before he had to fly back to the UAE.
There you have it, that is how most of my month played out. So far May has been a little up and down, highs being a fabulous brunch with a couple of gorgeous girls, and lows being trips to my dentist and having to take anti biotic. OH WELL! I have some great plans for the rest of the month so hopefully the highs totally outweigh the lows this month.
Until next time,
