Who doesn’t love an excuse to get dolled up and glam! Conor’s dad is the Chairman of the IAPF (Irish Association of Pension Funds) and I was delighted to attend their annual dinner at the DoubleTree Burlington last Thursday with almost 800 other people.
I love the process of getting ready for a big night out, it’s really half the fun! I layered on He-Shi 1 hour tan the night before and morning of (I wanted to be really tanned!), curling my hair with the InStyler for lose curls and getting my makeup done!
Although I did have my makeup done professionally, I did touch it up a little myself: filled out my brows a little more with Brow Wiz and added highlight and contour with the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow. This is the best highlighter I have ever owned, and it wears for so long!
I knew that this dinner was coming up, so I had been looking for a dress for a while. I spotted this gown on ASOS and it ticked so many boxes. Firstly, it is really affordable, under €100. I am only going to wear this dress once so it doesn’t make sense for me to spend a lot of money on it. Secondly it looked really flattering with the illusion hourglass detail. Finally, I love the colours, I obviously live in black and the sequin detail was fabulous.
If you are wondering how I got that fab glow on my face, I had just picked up my LuMee case from CocoBoutique. This is the iPhone case that has LED lights on either side of the case, to give you gorgeous lighting in every selfie! Shop here.
I was hounding Conor to take so many selfies with my new LuMee case, it just gives such good lighting, and really catches my highlight!
I had a fabulous night with Conor’s family, and everyone looked great dressed up!
Until next time,
