As you may already know, Conor visited Las Vegas without me last month, but to soften the blow he treated me to a mini Sephora haul, which included YSL, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Urban Decay. I just posted a review of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, which you can read here, and now it is time to take a look at the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer.
I love the YSL mascara, and I have been using this product for years and it is my all time favourite mascara. You can read a little bit more about it here.
Ok so now onto the Naked Skin concealer, I really like it! I asked Conor to get me the shade ‘Fair Neutral” which is the lightest colour available. In hindsight, I probably should have opted for a shade or two lighter, but the really light shade allows me to conceal and highlight/ strobe at the same time!
I will also say- THE STATE OF ME! I took this pictures before work one morning and I probably should have done it at another time because I look hilarious. Also, I cannot control my left brow (right on the screen) it just lifts on its own accord, I swear I am not doing it on purpose! OK now back to the product.
This is what the concealer looks like before it is blended in. You can see the colour is certainly several shades lighter than I need, but it does blend in very well. A little goes a long way with this concealer, and on an average day I might use half as much as is applied. My base is Maybelline Fit Me foundation and I have used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz on my eyebrows.
All blended, only under one eye. I personally think it makes a good difference. I am lucky that I don’t regularly suffer from bags under my eyes or dark circles, but this product certainly made a difference to my under eye area.
Now I have it on both sides of my face, as I couldn’t be off to work with one side of my face done and not the other. I love how easily this concealer blends in with my foundation, it doesn’t clump or spread where it shouldn’t.
Before applying all of this eyeshadow and lip etc I did add a little more concealer to my face to highlight. There was a very thin outline around my lips, a slim line along my nose and a triangle in between my eyebrows up to my forehead.
My final thoughts:
- I love the concealer
- It blends beautifully with liquid foundations (I only use liquid foundations so I cannot comment on any other kind.)
- A little goes a long way so it will last a long time.
- The number of shades are amazing, you will find your perfect colour.
- It does not cake or clump under the eye.
Well there are my two cents on the subject, has anyone else tried and tested this concealer? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments below.
Until next time,
