Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Review | Beauty

For the longest time I have been dying to try the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow wiz, as I fell head over heels in love with the Brow Pomade from the same brand (see my review here). Last month Conor went on a boys trip to Vegas which had me seething with jealousy, but he did make a little trip to Sephora for some souvenirs to cheer me up, which helped. If you don’t already know, Conor and I lived in Vegas together for a year, which you can read about here, which is why I was particularly jealous of this trip. It was our little home, and he went without me!!!! To be fair he was going with his brothers but still, I am allowed to be a little upset. ANYWAY the top of my Sephora wish list was this Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) as I have very light and thin eyebrows and I am always looking for new products to make filling them in easier.

We will start off with a before, as I am about to show you my face eyebrow free, and it is hilarious! This is me heading off to Electric Picnic and I have filled in my brows using the brow wiz.

The product itself is quite a handy design, one end has the eyebrow crayon colour and the other end has a nice spooly brush, as even the finest brows should be brushed before being filled. The nib of the crayon can be extended and retracted with a little twist, and both ends have sturdy lids to protect them.

Ok so here I am with my natural brow, which is very thin (thanks 13-year-old me who discovered tweezers). Filling in my eyebrows can take 3 to 20 minutes depending on the products I am using and the shape I am trying to achieve. With the brow wiz I usually stay around the 3 minute mark as it is so easy to use.

I usually brush my brows up using spooly so that I can draw a faint line along the bottom of my eyebrows, an outline which I will then fill in. I use a lot of tiny hair like strokes to fill in the shape for a great day look. The colour I use is soft brown and it is a perfect match for my skin tone and hair colour.

I didn’t achieve a great shape on this day, but when building brows from scratch it can be pretty hit and miss.

I have demonstrated some thin stroked on my hand here, so you can see how natural it looks. It is not a cakey crayon, and I think it would actually be pretty difficult to get that overly done, bad brow look using this product.

My round-up:

  • Love the colour (soft brown)
  • Very easy to use
  • Gives a more natural / daytime look compared to the brow pomade
  • Great for a quick job
  • I am a huge fan! It is a beauty bag essential!

You can buy the brow wiz from Cult Beauty for £15.50 which is about €21.50, well worth it in my opinion. Shop here.

Conor also brought me back my favourite mascara from YSL, which you can read about here, and the naked skin concealer which I hope to review shortly.

If you have been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz let me know your thoughts below!

Until next time,

One of my other makeup obsessions has to be my MAC warm neutral palette, read my review here.
