WHAT A BEAUTY! If your go to makeup look is a warm brown smokey eye, than you need this MAC palette in your life! Since treating myself to this 15 shade palette in June, I don’t know if I have touched any other palette from my collection, this is all I need!
At a glance you can see some warm browns, soft golds and shimmery coppers but I will go through each and every shade in my swatched below. I would also like to point out that the images are all from an iPhone 6, and they have been slightly edited so that the pictures look closer to the real shade.
Without flash above, with flash below.
I like to call this the english rose line, it is warm and pink.
HEY // WARM BREEZE // GINGERSNAP // DARK BREW // DANCE IN THE DARK
No flash above, flash below.
This is the line I use the most. The colours really suit me and I wear the matte shades for day and add a shimmer shade for a more dramatic look. Look at the pigment of Amber lights (second from the left), the colour is amazing.
BRULE // VANILLA EXTRACT // HONEY LUST // AMBER LIGHTS // SADDLE (saddle is my favourite of them all)
And last but certainly not least, this is the most glamourous line in my opinion, as it offers some beautiful shimmer shades in golds, bronze and coppers.
LEMON TART // CREATIVE COPPER //BUTTERFUDGE // DIVINE DECADENCE // UNWIND
In general I approach the rows from left to right as; the first two rows are for highlighting and capturing light, the second two rows are for colouring the lid and shaping the eye, and the final row is for contouring and lining the eye. I know I discussed the colours in their lines, but the entire palette is mix and match. Playing with this palette is a lot of fun and as it is MAC you know that the pigment and the quality is excellent. If you look back over any of my beauty looks from the past two months I can guarantee my eye look was created using this palette. I forget what life was like before I had it, ha!
