A couple of weeks ago I received a fabulous delivery of SoSu nails polishes. I was really excited as I had not tried out this range yet and the delivery contained a great red polish. One of the first things I noticed about the polishes was how lovely the packaging is. I love rose gold and the bottles feature a rose gold lip and writing.
A couple of years ago I was all about bright and bold nails, my favourite colours to wear were yellows, pinks and blues then last Summer something strange happened, and I only wanted to wear reds, nudes, neutrals and black. I think it has something to do with being on a computer all day, I am always looking at my hands and I get tired of some of the colours. Since then my collection of red nail polish has seriously exploded, and I have gained a huge appreciation for the slighted variation in a rouge varnish.
Launching a nail polish range is absolutely amazing, and if I had to guess, I would say a highlight would be naming each colour. The red that immediately grabbed my attention is called ‘First Date’, which I think is a great name for a vibrant red.
So I will admit that it took me two attempts to get this polish right. The first time I applied way too much product and my nails were an absolute mess. On the second attempt I was much more careful, and apart from my general messiness, they turned out great.
I don’t have the SoSu base and top coats so I used the only ones I could find which were from deals, and they worked out perfectly.
The colour is really vibrant, it is bright but deep too. The polish has a gel effect shine, so if you are neater at doing your nails than I am, it will look like you have just visited your manicurist.
I love how red nails pop when you add a blue filter!
I have been wearing this polish for over a week and have minimal chips, usually it would start to chip from day two. The quality is quite impressive, especially as is the price at €7.99 per colour.
Coincidentally my mum actually bought this exact polish when in the chemist last week, she loves the colour too.
I have to be honest and say that I never wear pink polish or anything sparkly anymore, so I will be doing a giveaway on my Facebook page for the remaining three polishes I received. They are really gorgeous colours, so I would be much happier if one of my readers got wear out of them! The colours are: Unicorn Dust, Picture Perfect and All That Glitters.
The 25 colour range is available across Ireland and a full list of stockists can be seen here.
I really want to try the colours “I Do”, “Fluffy Clouds” and “Icing on the Cake”.
Suzanne has been sharing sneak peeks at the Autumn/Winter collection and the colours look fabulous.
