Can you spot the theme from my latest sale haul? I was suffering from serious Longitude FOMO (fear of missing out) and wanted to cheer myself up with a spree on ASOS, and most pieces were purchased with Electric Picnic in mind, even though it is not until september.
My news feed was packed with festival goers at Longitude and I got quite a lot of style inspiration, although most of what I bought is actually practical for day-to-day life also.
First up is my ASOS wax khaki jacket, which was only €22.60! It is a light parka jacket which will service me well throughout Autumn, but could also work perfectly for Electric Picnic if the weather is typical unpredictable and Irish that weekend.
Next up is a drape front light knit white jumper. I will get so much wear out of this, perfect for work/ casual and could even be dressed up with a pair of heels and a statement necklace. It is difficult to see in this picture, but the bottom of the front does have a draping detail which makes it much more interesting than your standard jumper. So this may not exactly be festival fashion, but match it with a pair of denim shorts and hunter boots on a chilly day and it would look great! This top was only €16.44!!
Ok so this is another pair of sunglasses ( I just did a Ray-Ban post recently), but I didn’t want to bring an expensive or delicate pair of sunglasses to a festival, that is way too dangerous. Le Specs are a designer brand but without the price tag, full price most sunglasses are between €50-60, and available on ASOS, Net-A-Porter and Harvey Nichols. This chunky black pair are much more durable than my aviators and are perfect for hiding tired eyes over the festival weekend. That being said, they are currently in my handbag and I have been wearing them since the delivery arrived. The sale price on these sunnies was only €22.60.
So the last two purchases are only for Electric Picnic, as it is one of the few times I like to have tattoos. Last year I wore some fabulous gold and silver temporary tattoos, and I will probably buy some more but I also love these dainty black ones. Above are two small keys, but there are two per pack so I actually have four keys in total. Below is a set that reminds of the Chanel tattoos that came out a couple of years ago, it is a charm bracelet set, and again there are two included, and the little charms include a shoe, a teddy bear and a butterfly. I won’t necessarily wear them both as charm bracelets, I will probably play around with the design a little.
So the keys cost €1.85 and the charm bracelets were €1.23
So that comes to a grand total of €64.72, not bad in my opinion, especially I know I will get great wear out of the jacket, jumper and sunglasses.
