So the weather in Dublin has been all over the place lately, beautiful blue and sunny skies and next thing it is lashing rain. Once the sun does pop out I want to take full advantage and get into my denim cut offs.
I am lucky in that I work from home a majority of my time, and only spend a couple of days in a week in “work” clothes, which means that the rest of my time I get to wear pretty much whatever I want.
I love wearing my denim shorts in Summer, and my favourite pair are Levis 501, but unfortunately they are a little tight at the moment ( I really enjoyed my holiday!) so my next favourite pair are from Dunnes and I bought them about six years ago. They are a size bigger, so really comfortable to wear and the denim is perfectly worn and have a vintage look to them. I usually go for denim shorts at least one size bigger as it looks better for my legs, especially when I am sitting down and my thighs seems to double in size!
The blouse I am wearing is from Penneys and it is a couple of years old, but it is one of my favourite blouses to wear when it is hot out. The fabric is really light and breezy, although it does crease really easily.
This entire look is so simple, just jeans and a white blouse, which is very easy to wear. I decided to add some leopard to the look with a pair of espadrilles and a belt. This belt is actually AMAZING! It is leopard on one side and black lizard on the other and the buckle can be twisted around, making it two in one.
What I Wore:
When the sun is out I like to keep my makeup at a minimal, and avoid that shiny melted look.
Although I am wearing foundation, I only use one pump and blend using the expert face brush by Real Techniques. This foundation is not heavy, but you can build the coverage if necessary.
How are you wearing denim cut offs this Summer?
