I am heading to Spain in June and I am so excited to get a little sunshine and rest and relaxation. I am also really excited to get into Summer clothes and have already started picking up pieces in my favourite high street shops, such as Zara, H&M, ASOS etc.
I am really looking forward to the sun and sea, but who doesn’t love to imagine winning the lottery, buying everything from their Net-A-Porter wish list and taking a private jet to a private yacht? It can’t just be me! That is what this wish list is all about, the luxury items that you imagine one would want when travelling first class to exclusive destinations.
The carry on: Oh how I love my oversized Zara bag, as it is the ultimate carry on, I can fit everything in there! However, in a fantasy world I am certainly carrying more luxurious piece, made of the best quality materials. I am in love with the Balenciaga Papier a4 python tote in graystone. This bag is big enough to carry a laptop along with all of the essentials one might need, and holds a great structure.
The luggage: My dunnes case serves me well, but I will be more than happy to upgrade to this fabulous piece of luggage. The Globe Trotter candy case has a vintage look in a bright candy colour. This little piece of luxury is handcrafted and features a beautifully bright interior.
The sunglasses: To be honest I can’t complain, I have a pretty decent collection of sunglasses which serve me well, however I have been lusting after this pair from Dior. The aviator style is classic, however, Dior have updated to look with the modern additional shapes.
The Maxi: The maxi is an essential on holidays, millionaire or not it can take you from day to-night with a simple change in hair and accessories. Seeing as I am playing the millionaire game I had to allow myself imagine wearing this stunning dress from Tory Burch and the Moroccan inspired tile print piece.
The party dress: Whether you get a real tan, or get a little help from a bronzer, you want to show it off in something sweet and fun. This mini dress from Victoria Beckham is the perfect Summer party dress, with bright and vibrant colours. The dress draws attention to the waist where the two colours meet, making it flattering, and the peplum hem brings a sense of fun and femininity.
The flat: Going on holidays is all about discovering new places and meeting new people, and it is pretty tough to do that in sky scraper heels everyday, which is why a divine pair of flat sandals are completely necessary! I love these Sophia Webster flats for a couple of reasons, firstly, the design is adorable and totally unique. Secondly, the metallic colours mean that they are glamorous while being practical and will go well with just about any holiday look.
The wedges: What is it about wedges and holidays? When it comes to wedges you can usually go two ways: something neutral that will go with everything you packed, or a showstopper pair that will bring life and excitement to the simplest of ensembles. This pair of Gucci wedges pretty much ticks both boxes. The neutral rope detail in beige blends into most looks, however, the multi colour stones across the front strap bring excitement and colour, perfect for Summer.
The Sunhat: A chic accessory that also protects your face and head from the sun. Perfect for hiding from the sun and keeping any bad hair days under wraps, this beauty by Rag & Bone is chic and simple.
The playsuit: Fun and flirty, the playsuit has become a holiday essential. The great thing about a good playsuit is that you have no other outfit planning; grab a bag and shoes and you are good to go! Depending on your personal style you can choose something that shows off a lot of skin, or something that simply accentuates your legs and keeps everything else under wraps. This lace piece from Juicy Couture allows you to focus on your legs and is really fun and girly in bright lime.
So that is my super luxurious shopping list, for the day I win the lotto and have a private jet waiting to whisk me away! For a more realistic holiday shopping list, you can see my wish list of pieces I am actually buying this year. What are your travel essentials? Let me know in the comments below.
