Thank you for checking out my review of the Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Velvet and Cashmere. I have been lusting after these liquid lipsticks for so long, and I finally decided to treat myself last month. There are several colours to chose from, and I would love to have them all, but I decided to start my collection with a red, as I love to wear red lipstick but I always forget to check on it when out and about. The fabulous thing about the velvetines is that it dries to a matte lip colour which does not smudge. I also opted for the Cashmere, which is a mix of a Grey/Beige colour, as I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else.

The Cashmere colour is actually a little more difficult to wear than I expected. When I saw it being worn on instagram, it was applied by professional makeup artists who made it look really effortless and cool. When I tried it out at first I looked totally drained. I was finally able to wear out for dinner when I loaded on bronzer and lined my lips with sweet pink liner.
The Red Velvet is the perfect bright red lip colour. I have worn it a couple of times and love the fact that I can genuinely forget to touch it up. Although it does dry as a matte, you need to keep an eye when eating or drinking as any moisture could affect the colour very slightly.
The packaging is to die for, a boring white box lands in post but when I opened it up there was a overload of colour. I will add a small note that Lime Crime did contact me informing me that their security system had been hacked and credit card information may have been stolen. Luckily I paid using PayPal, so my information was secure.
*UPDATE* Since posting this review I became aware of several issues Lime Crime customers are having with the company. One issue is the safety of the website as it was recently hacked and many customers had their credit card information stolen. I used PayPal when I made my purchases so my information was safe and secure.
