Fairy God Mother | What I Wore

As I mentioned back at Christmas, I have been asked to be the Godmother to my cousins daughter Mia. I was delighted to accept, and last Saturday was the Christening for Mia and her twin brother Henry in Wicklow.

The day was absolutely fabulous, I really love when my family gets together. The mass was very simple and intimate and then we headed to a hotel nearby for food and drinks. It was a really family orientated day, with lots of babies, toddlers and kids running around, and my cousins were so smart to get a childrens entertainer which included karaoke and bubbles.

I wanted to keep my makeup simple for the day, and not wear too much. I was happy to wear a nude pink lip (Mac Hue) and soft brown eyes (Urban Decay Naked 2).

For both Mia and Henry, I found the cutest books call “Lost My Name” which are personalised stories about a girl or boy finding their name. So MIA came across a Mermaid who gave her an M… and it continues. I know when I was younger I loved having personalised books, so they may be too young to appreciate it now, but I hope they will enjoy them in years to come.

I also bought Mia a really sweet silver locket which features a tiny diamond from the range D is for Diamond. I know it’s a little crazy to buy a baby a diamond necklace but I wanted to give her something she could keep forever.

The twins mum Joanne is an amazing baker and she made the sweetest Christening cake. Inside it was chocolate biscuit cake, one of my favourites.

Mia is so chill, she didn’t mind us all fussing over her throughout the day, she didn’t cry once. Below is Conor and my mum both holding Mia.

We had such a fab day with all of our family, it is always so nice to have a get together.
