Seafield Golf and Spa Resort | a Mini Winter break

One of Conor’s Christmas gifts this year was a voucher to stay at Seafield Golf and Spa resort, which is one of our favourite places to take a mini break! This was the first place Conor brought me for a weekend away about 4 years ago, and it is one of the nicest hotels in Ireland, and only an hour out of Dublin. The real highlight of this hotel is the award winning spa which features a huge pool and an outdoor hot tub.

The trip started with a train ride, I think rail one of the best ways to travel.

In between these pictures being taken Conor about 6 hours had passed, and I had consumed more than one drink (we were really enjoying our mini break), so you will have to excuse the state of my hair and makeup! We had a small stroll around Gorgey and the weather was misty with drizzly rain so my hair fuzzed out and my makeup disappeared.

The rooms are fabulous at Seafield and the views from the balcony are even better. The beds here are not only huge, they are like marshmallows which you will never want to leave. Just thinking of this bed makes me want to take a nap right now.

Oh how I love a good, civilised afternoon tea! This was Conor’s first afternoon tea experience, and I am not sure what he was actually expecting but he hadn’t been all that excited about it. Obviously when he realised exactly what was involved, he was delighted. We completely scoffed our scones, finger sandwiches and mini sweet treats, and I am hoping this will be the first of many afternoon teas Conor and I enjoy together.

Seafield is known for having one of the most amazing spas in Europe, and my highlight is usually chilling out in the heated outdoor pool. My H&M bandage bikini is one of my favourites, although I was dreading putting it on after an indulgent Christmas period. Luckily I was too relaxed in the spa to actually care what I looked like in the end. I found something similar here.

Seafield is a totally indulgent destination, Conor and I completely chilled out while we were there, with a weekend filled with lots of food, drinks, relaxing at the spa, lounging in super soft bath robes and afternoon naps in the giant bed.

I kept things very casual on the way home as I was ever so slightly tired from drinks the night before and in no mood for heels or anything stressful.

What I Wore:

Two of the outfits I wore while staying in Seafield are below, you can see both of these posts by clicking on the picture.

Have you visited Seafield before? Conor and I were saying we need to look for a new destination for weekend breaks so if you have any suggestions please let me know in the comments below.
