Valentine’s Day 2015

Did you feel the love this Valentine’s Day? Conor and I kept things pretty low-key with a visit to the Bowling alley (I won 3 out 4!) and a takeaway chinese with a nice bottle of wine. I don’t really like going out on Valentine’s Day as most places you can feel rushed and get stuck with set menus.

Conor picked up on an ever so subtle hint of what he could pick up for me for Valentines day through my dedicated post here. Something I picked for my wish list was a Jo Malone fragrance, which I am a huge fan of. I had recently been in Brown Thomas smelling all of the fragrances and fell in love with the Peonies and Blush Suede, it is light, floral and feminine. Shop here.

Although chocolates may be a Valentine’s norm, Conor knows I would appreciate chocolate macaroons much more, along with raspberry, lemon and vanilla!

He took a fresh approach to the usual ‘Flowers and Chocolates” on Valentine’s day with a floral fragrances and my favourite sweet treats!

I felt totally spoiled, and we had a great night together.

Luckily I am not too old to get a Valentine’s treat from my mum, and I found this adorable heart-shaped tin filled with chocolate caramel on Saturday morning.

If there is ever a good excuse to buy pretty lingerie it is Valentine’s Day! I found this black lacy set on ASOS which is a triangle bra and matching underwear. Shop here.

For Conor’s Valentine’s gift I was a little sneaky, I did get him a load of chocolates and sweets that he loves and the big present was a voucher to Shanahan’s on the Green. Conor pointed out on Sunday afternoon, while I was scoffing all of the chocolates I bought him, that all of his gifts were food related and he had to share with me. Pretty sneaky ;). We visited Shanahan’s once before, and enjoyed the most amazing steaks, so I am dying to head back! You can see my last trip to Shanahan’s here.

I hope you had a wonderful Valentine’s weekend!
Thank you for reading,
