Winter Wedding 2014 | What I Wore

I have had a crazy Christmas, so I ended up taking a little break from blogging, but I am back now. On the Monday of Christmas week Conor’s brother was getting married and we had been looking forward to the big day for months. I found my outfit last month and booked my hair and makeup about three months ago!

For my makeup I had Michelle Montgomery (check out her facebook page here), she did both my makeup and Conor’s mum, Anne.

Michelle Montgomery Makeup, Smokey Eye and nude lip

I loved my Make up, I asked Michelle for a classic smokey eye and to include some pale pink to match my skirt, and she did a better job than I could have imagined! I also asked for lashes and she was able to apply individuals to suit my eye perfectly. She is incredibly talented and I would recommend her to anyone looking to get their makeup done for a special occasion.

Now for the fashion, I had an idea in my head for months of wearing a full skirt and a crop top, and I was really surprised when I found exactly what I was looking for in River Island. The skirt is now on sale and available in black and blue also.

The lighting isn’t great so the colour of the skirt is not represented well, but it was a beautiful blush pink shade.

What I Wore:

River Island black silk satin cross over crop top

River Island silk satin high waisted full skirt

Christian Louboutin Pigalle 120 mm black patent leather

The night was fantastic, starting with a delicious four course meal, followed by a live band, DJ and late night fish and chips. I did have to ditch my Louboutins after a couple of hours of dancing, they may look pretty but they were not made for dancing!

The wedding took place in Ballymagarvey Village and the setting was absolutely perfect for a Winter Wedding. The weather was not great, it was December, but the venue had baskets of umbrellas at every door and tea lights wrapped around every tree in sight, it was really fabulous. Check out their website here.

Here is the entire family (L-R): Dill, Anne, David, Marita, Jim, myself and Conor

Didn’t the bride look beautiful?! The style of the dress and her classic hair and makeup reminded me of Audrey Hepburn in Givenchy, absolutely beautiful.

This was the perfect way to start off the Christmas holidays.

I hope you have a had a lovely and relaxing Christmas, and a fabulous New Year!

Thank you for reading,
