When it comes to eye makeup, I have a tendency to stick to creams, golds and browns, which is why I am such a fan of the Urban Decay Naked palettes. I hardly ever experiment with colours, but admire those that do, so I decided to compromise with my latest palette and purchase the Makeup Revolution Flawless set which includes some beautiful nudes and browns, and also includes warm greens, striking blues and deep cranberries. I have to say that the first column of colours (from top to bottom) have been most frequently used, but I have ventured further and experimented with a range of new colours that I never tried on my eyes before.
For some reason I decided to start from the bottom and work my way up, and the pictures are too similar that I would mess them up if I tried to reverse the order so bear with me.
This is the bottom row and the colours are:
Pure Chocolate | Raw | Red Night | Molton Chocolate | Burgundy Night | Green Stars | Cafe Noir | Night
The picture to left is under flash and the picture to the right is without flash.
This is the third row and the colours are:
Smudge | Shimmer Heart | Universal | Copper Shimmer | Medal | Darkest Shimmer | Tarnish | Black Tie
The picture on the left is with flash, and the picture to the right is without.
This is the second row and the colours are:
Almost There | Uncover | Barely Pink | Lowlite | Golden Night | Gold Digger | Cheerless | Blue Stars
Left picture is with flash and the right is without flash.
Finally the top row, and the colours are:
Paper (which you cannot actually see on my skin) | Soft Glow | Buff | Highlite | Angel | Unlimited | Brew | Silver Smoke
The image to the right is with flash and the image to the left is without.
Like any palette, I have my favourites. As mentioned above the first row is being used a lot ( Paper, Almost There, Smudge and Pure Chocolate), but I have also been experimenting with other colours such as Red Night, Burgundy Nights, Green Stars and Blue Stars. Some of the shimmer shadows have helped me create ultra glam looks, particularly Copper Shimmer, Medal and Darkest Shimmer.
I am totally in love with this palette, and I have yet to reveal the price of this 32 shadow collection: £8!!! Amazing value for good quality shadows and a large range of colours, mattes and shimmers. Considering it is December I will recommend it as a great stocking filler or secret santa gift.
