It is no secret that I have a love of black clothes, so to make things exciting I like to add different textures and fabrics to my all black ensembles. Leather/ faux leather/ leather look is a favourite of mine and love to wear it particularly throughout Winter (although a sunny Summer’s day will still have me in a biker jacket).
Zara is great for the essentials, and I thought these faux leather leggings were a bargain at €30.
Although I love a faux leather, these aren’t necessarily my usual style, as they are not skin-tight, skinny skinny leggings. My jeans and leggings are usually stretched onto me, but I thought a change of pace could be a great thing.
I do realise that this is not a major change, it would be non-existent in some people’s eyes, but for me it actually makes a huge difference. I have been living in skinny skinny jeans for the best part of a decade, so the slightly looser fit is a little strange. However, with this fabric it would be very uncomfortable if they were skin-tight, as I would not be able to bend my knee!
Next up was a fabulous faux leather jacket, again, an amazing bargain at only €60! unfortunately when the jacket arrived it was a little lighter than I expected, and therefore would not work for me, with Winter coming. The details on this jacket are fabulous, the fit is perfect and I loved how it felt on, but it just wasn’t warm enough for Ireland this time of year.
Luckily I could change the jacket in the store by my job, and I found this beautiful replacement. It is warm and heavy and features a faux fur collar which is removable. This jacket was €80, which is still a fabulous deal in my opinion. I have not stopped wearing it since I got it, and it is just the right weight for this time of year.
So there you have it, not the most exciting haul, but two pieces of clothing that I will get a lot of wear out of.
