Ever since I began posting my monthly Instagram round ups, it seems like each month goes faster and faster! I feel as though I just posted July’s blog and now I am recapping August! I really cannot believe Summer is here, and I am now 27!!!!!
My month could not have started any better, with the addition of a teeny tiny kitten to our home. His name is Smoky and we are fostering him the DSPCA, however we will be adopting him once their vet gives him the thumbs up for his injections etc.
The DSPCA do need people to foster tiny baby kittens and puppies, all the time, so if you have room in your home you should definitely consider minding one of these little babies, until they are old enough to be adopted. It is also a great idea to foster if you are thinking of adopting a pet, as this will give you a good idea if you have room in your life to care for one, as fostering is usually for about a month or two. Conor, his brother Dill and I decided to head out for dinner on the 1st for some delicious steak at FX Buckley’s in Monkstown. I enjoyed some champagne with my steak and we all indulges in their death by chocolate dessert. My mouth is watering as I recall just how tender and divine that steak was!
Just the cutest picture I ever did take, Conor taking a little cat nap with baby Smokey ❤
I decided to change my hair a little bit at the start of month, you can read all about it. I think it has already grown back though, I will have to go a good bit shorter next time!
The first weekend of August was a bank holiday, and the Monday was my aunts birthday, so I ended the weekend the way I started it, with Champagne 🙂
OH HOW I LOVE AN ASOS DELIVERY ❤ I treated myself to a couple of pieces, but these leopard espadrilles were a BARGAIN from New Look. You can see some of my favourite espadrilles here.
Working on the go! Sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what you need so on this day I headed to Starbucks in Dun Laoghaire for the day and enjoyed some green tea and a lemon drizzle muffin 😛
I blogged last month about both of these brush sets from Real Techniques and they had been on my wish list for a LONG TIME! Initially I held off on buying them because I wanted to grab them in New York as they are so much cheaper, but I actually couldn’t find them while I was there, so when I got an email with 25% off online purchases I just had to go for it. I have already reviews the core collection here, and I will get around to the starter kit soon.
As mentioned, we are fostering this beautiful black kitten from the DSPCA, and he is just the cutest little guy. ❤
A not so Summery black chalkboard manicure from Ciate.
OH THIS WAS A FUN NIGHT! I love getting together with my fabulous college friends and it’s guaranteed to be a messy night every time! I posted about my outfit here.
BARGAIN OF THE YEAR! I found this fabulous pair of Levis 501 high-waisted shorts on eBay for €12!!!! I got a lot of wear out of them at Electric Picnic festival, post coming soon!
What began as a civilised dinner and a catchup, ended with Jaeger bombs and taxis home in the wee hours! CHEERS!
A well deserved Pizza party after my sister Ria got amazing results for her leaving cert, and got accepted into Trinity College Dublin. WELL DONE RIA ❤
Well I felt very mature heading over to my friends’ Siobhan and Gavin’s place for a dinner party, but of course it ended up with us heading into town and a lot of cocktails! I wore my favourite shoes (YSL Tribtoo) all white and a fun set of stacking rings from H&M .
YAY I FINALLY HAVE A COKE BOTTLE WITH MY NAME ON IT, and its a glass bottle on top of that! DELIGHTED! ❤
Feeling very autumnal with Chanel Malice polish.
My sister Tara received these beautiful pink lilies for her birthday and they are absolutely gorgeous!
I was celebrating my birthday at Electric Picnic (which I will post about soon) so I had a mini pre birthday celebration with my family & Conor before I headed off to the festival. Victoria sponge is one of my favourite cakes, and we had just had chocolate cake for my sister’s birthday so I wanted something slightly different. Conor sent me off to Electric Picnic with a gorgeous box of Laduree macaroons, so I was snacking like a princess over the weekend.
Off I went! raincoat-check! Hunter boots-check! Levis-Check! Electric Picnic 2014 post will be coming soon!
I am sad that Summer is over, but I also love dressing for Autumn, so I am also a little happy 🙂
Hope you had a great August,
