With spring on its way, although you cannot tell with this weather, I am excited to bring a little more pastel and pink into my life, particularly through my extensive pink lipstick collection.
I have chosen my top four pink lipsticks from my own make up selection to showcase the different shades and textures.
If you read my recent post, the perfect nude lip, then you will know I am a BIG fan of Rimmel’s moisture renew collection, so naturally I have branched out within the collection to try some other colours. The lipstick is soft and moisturising to the lips. The colour has a nice sheen and is a light, natural shade of pink, perfect for everyday wear.
When attending a wedding a couple of months age, Winter Wedding, I had my make up applied at Inglot in Dundrum and loved it. The lipstick I bought was a light matte lip and it is a really fun lipstick for day or night. My only problem with this lipstick is due to the mattifying texture it can be a little drying on my lips. To resolve this issue I keep a lip balm like EOS on hand.
I bought this lipstick so long ago, but rarely wear it, mainly because when I wear a dark lip I automatically go for a red or plum. This is a very bright fuchsia pink lipstick that makes a statement. The lipstick itself is very soft and creamy on the lips, I personally think this lipstick suits blondes a little more than me but I still like to wear it from time to time and always receive compliments when I do.
This mac lipstick is a fun, bubblegum pink. It is very girly and pretty bold. It is from the Creem sheen collection so again it is soft and gives a glossy affect, similar to some of the other lipsticks. This is what I refer to as my ‘Barbie’ lip as the colour stands out without being over the top.
Oh what a difference a filter makes, the picture above is pretty true to the colour, however the picture below is accurate of how the lipstick looks in less severe lighting.
What is your favourite pink lipstick?
