I am always one for lobster and cocktails, so when Rock Lobster opened in Harvey Nichols in Dundrum in December, I couldn’t wait to try it out! Some of you may know that I worked in Harvey Nichols all throughout college, and I was lucky that over Christmas I was able to go back while looking for a permenant marketing position in Dublin.
My last day of Christmas work arrived and a couple of us decided to go for dinner and cocktails, and then a couple turned into about 15 people!
I love lobster, although I have never had a whole one. I opted for the lobster rolls (which I also had on my post Mellow Yellow date night) which were delicious. The lobster meat is prepared in a dressing and served in a brioche bread roll. This meal comes with duck fat fries and a side salad and I can honestly say the entire meal was perfect. The lobster was delicious and I cannot wait to go back and try a whole lobster! I was pleasently surprised with the price as I got all of this food for only €20!
As far as drinks go, the Harvey Nichols bar is famous for the most extensive and delicious cocktail menu. I can personally recommend the Bellinis (my personal favourite is the passionfruit) and The Hunt for Red October cocktail.
We all squeezed into the bar for a couple of glasses of Champagne before the meal, which were compliments of our amazing manager.
Between the Champagne, Prosecco, Bellinis and Hunt for Red October, we all got a little silly towards the end of the night (and by all I mean me, but I’m sure everyone else was on a similar vibe as me!).
I had a fantastic time with my amazing friends.
I didn’t get any pictures of my outfit but this is what I wore:
So lucky to have these crazy, wonderful people in my life!
Have any of you eaten at Rock Lobster?
