So it is New Year’s Eve and I still have no idea what to wear…. So I have focused on my nails for now.
I am not a very neat person, particularly when it comes to painting my nails so when I saw a black and gold manicure on pinterest I knew I would need some tape for cleaner lines.
To begin the manicure I applied a clear base coat and then two coats of rimmel’s metallic “posh trash“ . It is not a gold but more of a rose gold/ bronze metallic polish.
If you can paint in a very straight line then you probably do not need to worry about using tape but I applied a strip across each nail, covering the bottom third of each nail.
Then take a black polish, mine is “never enough shoes” from Sephora by OPI. I applied two coats and then let my nails dry for about 20 minutes before carefully peeling off the tape.
And Voila! Yes they need to be cleaned up a little, but that is the easiest New Year’s Eve nail I could achieve within an hour!
Make sure the polish is completely dry before applying any tape or a top coat.
So this is my last post of 2013 and I would like to wish you all a very happy 2014! Thank you to everyone who has supported my blog over the past 4 months and I am very excited about the upcoming year!
